Mary Ann Lacaria-Cincinnati was born in Clarksburg, West Virginia in 1963. Her parents are Sam Lacaria and the (Late) Mary Lacaria. Mary Ann graduated from Washington Irving High School in 1981 and was in many clubs during that time. She was also in the National Honor Society, Who’s Who in America, Student Council representative, and French club president. During her freshman year she traveled to France with the French club. After high school, she received her Bachelor of Science degree in Speech/Language Pathology and Audiology in 1985 at West Virginia University. She later received her Masters in Speech/Language Pathology. During her undergraduate program she was on the court as a Princess in the Italian Heritage Festival in 1982 and a member of Kappa Kappa Gamma Sorority.
Currently, she is divorced and dealing with multiple sclerosis since the birth of her first daughter in 1996. She has two beautiful girls and during their middle school years served as a Junior Cotillion board member. At 51 she moved to Independent Senior living and progressed to living in Assisted Living with her fur baby, Daisy, where she was leading a Multiple Sclerosis GROUP. Mary Ann collected a substantial amount of money for the “Make a Wish Foundation” by going from business to business for donations that would be used at an auction dinner. She is currently writing a book in hopes to inspire those dealing with multiple sclerosis or any debilitating disease to never give up and to lean on God before you hit rock bottom.
